Bistopping Review ๋น„์Šคํ† ํ•‘

๐Ÿ’ฅCafe Gals: Cafe Review๐Ÿ’ฅ

Bistopping is a small ice cream shop in between Sinsa and Nonhyeon Station. It's definitely in an area that you need to map out! If you know how to use Naver maps then you'll definitely be in good hands!
Bistopping has attracted a wide variety of clients. When we went there were lots of Japanese people and a few Koreans. They have definitely amped up their business via instagram.
The system of ordering is pretty fun because you can choose your cone, type of ice cream, and your toppings! In their case you can choose chocolate stars, mermaid tails, chocolate pearls and other assorted goodies!
When we went in Cheyenne customized hers but I showed the clerk an instagram picture and said, "This one pleaaaase!"

They are super nice helpful here! This is absolutely a great place to come!

Now let's get into the details here:

Prices:

5,000 +
Depending on how fancy you want to get
Menu:
Available in Korean, English, Chinese, & Japnese
Wifi:
Absolutely! Bottom of your receipt!
Pet Friendly:
No
Atmosphere:
Very cute! The inside of ice cream shop is small and adorable!
Seating:
Inside seats about 30
Outside about 8
Instagram Worthy:
Of course! You can take a picture with their signature wall or the bubble gum pink walls!

Thoughts:

Honestly I love coming to Bistopping because it's fresh and delicious! It's perfect on hot summer days or even lazy Sundays! Bistopping is great for casual meeting with friends or a family hang out! You should definitely come and check it out! You'll be glad you came!

DB Story Cafe Review! // ๋””๋น„์Šคํ† ๋ฆฌ

๐Ÿ’ฅCafe Gals: Cafe Review๐Ÿ’ฅ

DB Story Cafe is less of a cafe and more of a fun craft place. You can however, get basic drinks like coffee, tea, cherry cola, etc. They have phone cases, charms, straps, and a ton more! It's a good place to come with friends and exercise your creativity.

They have a store in Hongdae and Dongdaemun and online store. Check their Instagram for the website!

Now let's get into the details here:

Prices:

Phone Case- ₩1,000-8,000
Accessories- ₩500-₩15,000
Drinks

Menu:
English and Korean

Wifi:
Yes

Pet Friendly:
No

Atmosphere:
Cool, everyone was having fun!

Seating:
about 20 seats

Instagram Worthy:
yes! a lot of cool things and your phone case will look cute!

Thoughts:
This is a super fun place to come to with your friends. They have so many amazing accessories and things to make your perfect phone case. I had a hard time with my long nails but if you're a normal person with normal nails you shouldn't have a problem! They supply you with tweezers and super glue to help with adding everything. You can bring a friend or many, they have seating that accommodates both. It was so much picking everything and making the phone case. We recommend coming here, maybe not for the drinks, but to let your creative juices flow!

Loui Ruths Itaewon

๐Ÿ’ฅCafe Gals: Cafe Review๐Ÿ’ฅ

Loui Ruth's is a chill brunch cafe just down the street from Itaewon Station. They serve fluffy and delicious pancakes and super filling french toast. They also have a decent sized drink menu. We thought the prices for the drinks were pretty cheap compared to other cafes in the area.

Now let's get into the details here:

Prices:

Brunch: ₩7.5~₩13.0
 Drinks: ₩3.9-5.5
Menu:
English and Korean
Wifi:
Yes
Pet Friendly:
No
Atmosphere:
chill with loud music
Seating:
Around 25 people max.
Instagram Worthy:
not really

Thoughts:
We thought this place was pretty good but wasn't really worth the price. Good American breakfast food isn't hard to find in Seoul anymore and there are better options. However, it is a nice place to sit and chat with friends over a good and inexpensive drink. You can even share a platter of pancakes or french toast as they are really filling!

Dore Dore is a 4 story house in the back streets of Sinsa-dong.

The first floor you walk into is where all the goodies are! They have a basement and additional floors on top! Each floor is a different color with a different set of decor. Their pastry case looks absolutely inviting with rainbows and gem colored cookies.

 You cant miss it!

Cake slice: 8,500 - 15,000 KRW

Thoughts:

Dore Dore was an awesome cafe to visit and I'm more than certain it wont be our last time here! I have to admit all of Cheyenne's choices were delicious! Mine wasn't as good as I was hoping. I did take my left over cake to my husband and he LOVED it! So it didn't go to waste ๐Ÿ˜€ I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone who has a sweet tooth! One the week days it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy the wifi! I cant wait to come back and get the carrot cake! haha

Finding happiness

Today is September 16, 2017
Korean Standard Time

This week has been one of the most challenging weeks I've had to deal with in a really long time. Not only has it tested the limits of how much crap I can deal with professionally but also mentally.

Works been really awful.

Like really.

Every day a new obstacle came up and I had to deal with it.

Luckily I have wonderful friends and a husband who really helps me out.

Any ways!

There are 100 days until Christmas 2017!

I thought what better chance to give myself a personal challenge until then.

Everyday I want to find and fixate on something that genuinely made me happy. Since lately I've been down in the dumps I need to realign myself and think happier and more positive thoughts.

I have a lot to be thankful for and even more things that I am looking forward to.

As of today I am going to post a picture a day of what made me genuinely happy and I will be posting it on Instagram and Facebook.

What are somethings that help you stay positive and motivated?

I have felt a positive change since I've started meditating and working out regularly.

but I'd like to hear from you!

How do you cope with the daily struggles?

I'd love to hear what you do !

This is Julie signing out!

Stay positive
Stay happy
Stay you!

xoxo

Day 1 vs. Day 1100

Day 1 vs. Day 1100

** Caution mushy love stuff ahead **

So Kyu and I just celebrated 3 years together or 1,100 days together.

3 years! Can you believe that?
We've changed a lot in the past 3 years and we've also done some stupid shit.

Being in love can be difficult no matter where you are in life.
I never came to Korea with the intention of falling in love with someone and being with them for the rest of my life, but hey it worked out for the best!

Being in a relationship takes a lot of work and listening.
ESPECIALLY
when you and your partner don't share the same first language.

In the past 3 years we've had enough arguments to fuel a small hybrid car
We've gone through 1 break up that lasted all of 5 hours
We've loved each other unconditionally
We've lived together before we got married
We've experienced more life changing things in 3 years than most couples do in their lifetime
and most of all
We've survived 2 years of mandatory military service

As Kyu gets out from his mandatory military service on August 16, 2017 I cant help but feel overwhelmed with excitement!

Our first year together we went as well as riding a wooden roller coaster.
B U M P Y

It took a lot of time and patience on both of us.
I had to learn to not be such a bitch. hahah
We fought a lot and misunderstood each other almost everyday, but some how we managed to get our shit together and make it work.

Once I moved to a new school in 2015 things got so much better for us.
That's when the light bulb went off for both of us.
We knew we wanted this to be a forever thing.

As Kyu enlisted and went away for basic training in August of 2015 I was in shambles
I ate a whole cheese cake for dinner over the course of 2 weeks
(not ashamed)
I cried every day
and I wrote him letters literally everyday.

I've seen Kyu every 4 weeks for his military vacation and just about every week end since he's been enlisted.

This has taken a lot of hard work and dedication.

As he wraps up his glorious 2 year service we're overwhelmed with complete joy.
We FINALLY get to plan our wedding!
Take engagement pictures!
and
Live together again!

From Day 1 we started sharing beautiful moments together and even through the rough times we've managed to make it to our 1100 day anniversary.

I never knew I could love someone as much as I love this human being. ๐Ÿ’“

I always thought  people who said that were cheesy,
but
I find myself falling in love with him again and again every time I look into his eyes.
The amount of love, joy, happiness, utter bliss I feel when I'm with him
makes my heart fart and my liver quiver.
*totally stole that from my mom*

so!

Happy 1100 Mr. Ko and here's to a life time of days together!
Love you to the moon and back ๐ŸŒ™

xoxo
